My Story

I’ve always had a deep interest in music stemming from my continued interest in animation and video games. Unaware I could have a career in audio, I originally went to school for biology.  I consider myself lucky to have accidentally chosen a University with an audio program. Once I saw the possibilities it held for me, I switched my major and never looked at a petri dish again. In Spring 2023, I was selected as apart of the University of New Haven’s Nashville Study Away program where I took classes at Blackbird Studio and interned at Loud Studio. Before I graduated from University, I was already dead set on moving back to Nashville for Blackbird’s Live Sound program in January 2024.

I've spent the past 6 months soaking up as much information as possible from the program. I quickly learned to get used to the long days of intensive learning, which I found out I enjoyed very much. I can proudly say that I've learned a lot in the fast paced, hands-on learning environment I was in, but I'm not done yet. I’m always looking forward to what’s next and what else I can learn. Blackbird has been a challenge I attacked head on, improving myself weekly and learning new topics about Live Sound and overall life in the music business. Now, I'm ready to put what I've learned to the test.
